Bothal crowned U11 county champions after unbeaten season

Bothal Primary School has been crowned East Northumberland and Berwick Schools' Football Association Under-11 7-a-side league champions in spectacular fashion, completing an unbeaten season that will be remembered for years to come.
In a campaign defined by resilience, teamwork and determination, the boys remained undefeated from September through to the final whistle of the season.
Their crowning moment came on the final night in a dramatic clash against Ellington, where a tense, hard-fought contest was settled by a thrilling last-minute goal to secure a 1–0 victory.
The decisive strike sparked jubilant celebrations, as players, staff and supporters witnessed a truly special achievement—lifting the trophy without losing a single game.
Throughout the season, Bothal demonstrated exceptional consistency, combining solid defensive performances with moments of attacking brilliance. Their ability to stay composed under pressure proved vital, particularly in tight matches like the final showdown.
Going the entire league campaign unbeaten is a rare and remarkable accomplishment, highlighting not only the squad’s talent but also their commitment and unity as a team.
They scored more than 100 goals and conceded only five in 14 matches, but in true sporting fashion many double-figure victories were recorded as 5-0 results so the official league table shows 63 goals in the 'for' column.
This victory marks a proud moment for Bothal Primary School, as the team etched their names into local sporting history—true champions, and officially invincible.
